The world’s tallest building will be inaugurated on January 4, 2010, by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
Soon after, the observation deck on the 124th floor of Burj Dubai called “At The Top” will open to the public providing unique vistas of city.
At The Top
The journey begins at the lower ground level of the Dubai Mall and makes it’s way from the reception to the Burj Dubai in a 65 meter long travelator.
From here, you board a high-speed elevator which ascends at 10 meters per second to the observation deck. The doors open to reveal floor to ceiling glass and 360 degree views of the city. You’ll see the bright lights of the city’s rapid growth, the waves of the Arabian Gulf, and sand dunes of the desert beyond.
There is an outside terrace as well as telescopes to catch the action up close.
The tour normally lasts about an hour though your admission allows you to linger as long as you like during operating hours:
Sunday – Wednesday: 10am – 10pm
Thursday – Saturday: 10am – 12am
Last tickets can enter not less than 45 minutes before closing
There are special tickets for students as well as discounted pricing for groups of twenty or more individuals. Call +97148888124 for more information, or check out burjdubai.com.
