1. Rihanna in concert

It’s been a tumultuous year for this Barbadian hip-hop recording artist but she’s finally scheduled to play a New Year’s Eve concert at the Emirates Palace. The concert ticket also includes access to the La Rumba after party zone with several DJs.

2. Armin Van Burren

Armin Van Buure, judged by many as the number 1 DJ in the world comes to Dubai for a New Years Eve concert at the World Trade Center presented by the Peppermint Experience. This event will be huge.

3. KaRavan with Pierre Ravan

Pierre Ravan brings his spiritual deep house sound to a New Year’s Eve 2010 event at The Rooftop, Madinat Jumeirah. A plus here is that you’ll also get a unique vantage point for the midnight firework display at the Bur Al Arab.

5. NYE 2010 with Fat Joe

Hip-hop recording artist Fat Joe plays at the 400 Club in the Fairmont Hotel. Expect a house and R&B DJ set before and after the performance.

6. Café del Mar featuring Valentin Huedo

Valentin Huedo represents the famous Ibiza chill-out lounge Café del Mar for NYE 2010 with house beats at the poolside iKandy bar.
Regular tickets for 388 AED feature unlimited house beverages and a glass of champagne although access is begins from 10:30 pm. VIP tickets for 998 feature finger food, unlimted house beverages and a bottle of champagne, as well as, earlier access.

7. Dazzle Dubai

This is a Hindi music and comedy show featuring Atif Aslam, Shaan, Vasundhara Das and Suresh Menon with buffet service at the World Trade Center.
Tickets are available in four categories: Platinum — front row VIP service for 1500 per person, Gold — banquet seating and dinner for 900 AED, Silver — show access and paid access to bar/cafe for 350 AED, and Standing — for 150 AED per person.

8. Burj Al Arab Fireworks
activity
Hop on to the Umm Suqueim open beach and claim a spot for an up close view of the Burj Al Arab fireworks that will light up the night sky. Best of all, its free and fun for the whole family.

9. 360° featuring Peaches Geldof & Fifi Brown

360° opens up both floors for the NYE party. 10. Atelier

The global clubbing brand brings it to the 3,000 person capacity Madinat Arena in Madinat Jumeirah.

11. Pacha Flower Power featuring Victor Nebot

Pacha takes over at the Cavalli Club to bring you a hippy-infused night for NYE 2010 in Dubai. Dress up in hippy gear and enjoy tunes from the 60’s and 70’s era.

12. Soiree Blanche

Here’s an open-air White Party at the new Media One hotel in Media City featuring chill beats from Stephane Karl and Nick Waters of St Tropez’s Tobi Voli club.
It’s free but make sure you go as couples or balanced mixed groups and wear white. There’s a buffet from 7pm – 10pm for 300 AED and tables range from 1,000 – 5,000 AED.

13. New Year’s Full Moon Desert Drumming
activity
Drum and dance your way into 2010 in the desert with the whole family.
Tickets are 425 AED adults, 185 AED children, and free for children under 6. Price includes community drumming, barbecue dinner, camel rides, sand boarding, shisha, belly dancer, fire dancer, and DJ. There are designated spots to camp over night if you’re so inclined (at additional cost).

14. We are CHI
party
One of the oldest and most widely know nightclubs in Dubai invites you to the We Are CHI NYE event. Mark Pickup and Tim Cheddar perform in the CHI Garden. Danny Neville and John Vicente perform in the CHI Club.

15. Bateaux Dubai

If you’d rather cruise along the Creek in an very refined and contemporary setting, then Bateaux will be a good fit. For NYE, this huge glass enclosed vessel cruises around the Creek for a few hours while serving up an exclusive NYE six course dinner with a glass of champagne. There’s a live pianist and a bar on the outside deck, in addition to a viewing platform upstairs.

16. Irish Village

This Dubai staple will feature the Maplejacks playing indie, rock and pop tunes along with DJ Marky Mark on the tables. Oh yeah, there are fireworks too.
