Pizza Napoletana

JBR the Walk has become an exceptionally popular family destination ever since a whole assortment of restaurants opened on this strip. Once such place is Pizza Napoletana adjacent to the Sofitel Jumeirah Beach. This place has a nice outside seating which is perfect for people watching given its central location. Inside, however, the decor is a ghastly white with tiled walls.
Pizza Napoletana serves up wood oven pizza, pasta, and salads. We decided to try the rosemary pizza and the napoletana (with anchovies). The pizzas were definitely served thin crust Italian style and the dough was tasty. However, overall the pizzas were unremarkable, although the chicken pizza was better than the napoletana–which we decided not to finish.
We’ve mostly seen Pizza Naploetana busy, the prices are reasonable, and the service we received was congenial. We haven’t written them off yet, and we will likely return sometime to try other items off the menu. Maybe we haven’t tried the signature dish? But it might be a while since there are now at least FOUR other pizza joints on the JBR strip.
Finally, any claims of this being an outstanding pizza establishment can be put to rest as it doesn’t even come close to the quality food we consistently come across at Vapiano.

I am Italian and when I saw the WOOD FIRED PIZZA sign I was about to try the pizza here but when I walked in I saw clearly that the oven is a gas oven! This is ridiculous! The consumer protection department should be informed about this but I personally have no time so I just moved on…a real scam.
