Sega Republic opens at Dubai Mall

The Dubai Mall’s latest entertainment destination finally opened its doors to the public this Friday, 21 August. Think of it as a 76,000 square foot (that’s the size of an international soccer field) indoor theme park and video arcade. This facility tailors to both the adrenaline seeking youth, as well as, parents and kids.
Sega Republic’s attractions are spread over five themed zones – Speed, Adventure, Sports, Cyberpop and Redemption – featuring motion-simulators to simulated sports games, classic carnival games and prize-winning redemption games.
- Speed Zone features attractions such as the 9-meter drop ride Sonic Hopper
- Adventure Zone has the SPIN Gear, a spinning coaster with sound and visual effects
- Sports Zone contains simulators including the Halfpipe Canyon, a hi-tech snowboarding half-pipe that gives riders the opportunity of throttling up and down a 7-metre incline
- Cyberpop Zone features next-generation gaming equipment and virtual experiences
- Redemption Zone host a large collection of redemption games with a selection of winnable merchandise
The theme park operates the same hours as the mall, which are from 10am to 10pm Sunday to Wednesday and 10am to midnight Thursday to Saturday. The entrance to SEGA Republic is located on the second floor of The Dubai Mall with a car park entrance nearby.
With such a large variety of rides and games, it will take more than one visit to experience what Sega Republic has on offer.
