One of New York’s favorite comfort food restaurants, the Brooklyn Diner is coming to Dubai this February at the Intercontinental Hotel in Festival City. Expect to see almost all of the US menu make it’s way to the Dubai restaurant including Halal versions of the pastrami, corned beef and Shelly Fireman’s 15 bite hot dog.

Local Dubai cuisine will be featured as well, including Shish tawouk , chelo kebab koobideh and a mild Thai green chicken coconut curry, which, “strangely enough… is extremely popular in Dubai,” Fireman said(1).

The Brooklyn Diner Dubai will resemble the New york location on West 57th, with neon, a maitre d’ in a tux and sneakers and Brooklyn photographs by WeeGee(2). The diner serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Shelly Fireman’s Restaurant Group includes six Manhattan restaurants with wide-ranging cuisine from Tuscan-style Italian to American seafood. These restaurants are Trattoria Dell’Arte, Cafe Fiorello, Fireman’s of Brooklyn, Brooklyn Diner USA, Redeye Grill and Shelly’s New York. The NYC branches of the Brooklyn Diner are located in Carnegie Hall and Times Square.
