Premier League TV package for UAE revealed
The Barclay’s Premier League 2010-2011 season will shift from the Orbit-Showtime Network (OSN) to Abu Dhbai TV, and football fans across the UAE will still be able to watch all 380 matches, now on new dedicated TV channels in High Definition.
From mid-July, fans will be able to subscribe to Abu Dhabi TV’s new services in three ways plus online:
1. Purchase HD Decoder and Smart Card
New subscribers can purchase a Humax HD decoder, and smartcard, for ADTV’s new pay-tv satellite network for 999 AED.
2. Purchase Smart Card Only
For users who currently have a compatible Humax HD decoder, smartcards can be bought alone for 370 AED for a year’s subscription. They will also continue to get all the current free to air channels.
3. Subscribe via IPTV Cable
The recommended retail price for a basic package will be 75 AED per month. Some cable providers may include AD Sports in bundles of channels or combine the package with other offers that could be sold at a higher price. Price will vary, so check with Etisalat E-Vision or du TV customer service for appropriate packages.
4. Watch online
Customers can also sign up to stream the matches online. In the GCC, online subscribers will pay 370 AED for the season. In non-GCC countries, the price for the online season package is 220 AED.
Subscriptions are available from July 2010 and more information on subscribing can be found on the ADMC Sport website. Matches will be broadcast in English and Arabic.
ADMC Sport will broadcast live Premier League games exclusively, on their subscription channels for the next three seasons (until the 2013-2014 season).
