Situated off the coast of Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai, 360 degrees is a nightclub venue like no other. Surrounded by water on all sides, this place features an outdoor setting and views of the Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Atlantis, and the horizon.

The place

360° is actually the two level roof top deck of the circular Marina restaurant. Tables and the “dance floor” are located on the lower level while the bar is upstairs covered by a partial canvas roof.

During the early evening, 360° is an outdoor lounge with shisha and cocktails to enjoy the sunset. By night the place transforms into probably the most famous nightclub in the city.

The outdoor nature of this place means that this is not the most posh setting and that the weather can have a dramatic effect on the party. For this reason, 360 degrees is closed in the summer from June to October. During the cooler months however, there is no better place to spend an evening of revelry.

The party

While 360 degrees is open each day of the week, the most popular events are the Auditonic Sunset Sessions on Fridays and Revolve on Saturdays which start from the early evening and go on until 2am. Entry on these days between 5pm and 8pm is by guestlist only, although it opens up after 8pm. There is no cover charge.

On the weekends, access to 360 degrees is closed from the main hotel lobby so you must use the entrance to the far right of the hotel. The door policy is not ultra-strict and you may be able to talk you way through even if you are a group of guys. But, it’s always better to show up in a mixed group.

If possible, get a hotel golf cart to take you to the destination because it can be a long walk.

Drinks are pricey at this establishment and the service mediocre–better to get you buzz going somewhere more economical before arriving here.

Dress code is casual and that follows with the whole vibe. The crowd is less sophisticated and more laid back than some of the swankier clubs, but they are all at 360° to party, dance and have a good time.

Music is usually supplied by resident or mid-tier international DJs who spin familiar house tunes which make the crowd respond. Occasionally there are special events with bigger name acts.

Even if house music or late night partying is not your thing, 360 degrees is still worth a visit in the evening just to admire the beauty and atmosphere of it all.

The bottom line

360 degrees remains an iconic nightlife venue in Dubai. It’s combination of laid back attitude, open air venue surrounded by water, and pumping music make it a staple on the nightlife calendar.

The good

  • come as you are dress code
  • water, water everywhere
  • chunky house music (not all the days of the week in case you’re not a fan)

The bad

  • pricey
  • really should have better service for the prices
  • we don’t know what to do with ourselves in the summer when it’s closed
