Vapiano is a German chain offering upscale casual Italian food including pastas, pizzas, and salads. You get a chip card when you enter the restaurant and then proceed to the dedicated counters of the food you want to order. For example, walk up to the pizza counter to specify what type of pizza you want and give them your chip card so they can charge you appropriately.

We love the food at Vapiano with our favorites being the Ravioli Con Carne, the BBQ Chicken Pizza and the Pizza Toscana. The pizza especially are made on a thin white bread which taste good and do not leave you feeling full when you’re done. Vapiano also serves a variety of fresh salads and you can add shrimp or grilled chicken to any of them. Besides the food, this is also a good spot for great cup of coffee.

A meal for one normally costs around 45 – 55 AED.

Unlike the Media City location–which is ultra popular during lunch time but much less so at dinner–the Dubai Mall location is fairly busy at all times of the day. This location also features outside seating on the Burj Boulevard with views of the Dubai Fountain.

Tasteless and unsanitary. The restaurant utilizes an inefficient electronic card system to order food at various stations. As so many people were unfamiliar with the system (you have to flash the card, there’s no swiping terminal – fyi) the pizza cook took my electronic card and ordered the food for me. The only problem? He didn’t take his gloves off when he took the card out of my hand – even when I asked him too! While I watched in horror as he dipped his dirty glove into various toppings and proceeded to roll out the pizza dough with this glove, I went ballistic! His consolation to me? “This is not your order.” Bon Appetite, y’all! I guess someone else was the lucky one! We will never ever ever go back to this place again. On top of it all, the food was bland and overpriced.

this restaurant is awful, poorly managed. their food is cheap quality italian that is the same as frozen food quality. when we complained about the slow service, the manager whose name is sam was short and abrupt with us.
